Basset Hound Puppies 2026!

EXCITING NEWS! The new basset hound litter is finally here!

Born January 12th, 2026. 11 puppies total, 6 boys and 5 girls

Diamond, the dam, is an AKC major pointed. She has excellent European and American bloodlines with a pedigree full of Champions and Grand Champions. Diamond is health tested, Thrombopathia-Clear, Lafora-Clear, Dystrophic Epidermolsis Bullosa-Clear, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma-Clear, and Combined Immunodeficiency Disease X-inked-Clear.  

Axel, the sire, is a show import from the Czech Republic; he is an AKC Champion of record. He comes from a very nice European and American bloodline, with a pedigree full of Champions and Grand Champions. Axel is health tested, and he is Lafora-Clear, Thrombopathia-Clear, Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa-Clear, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma-Clear, Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease, X-linked-Clear.

AKC Limited Registration non-show/pet quality puppy $2,800-$3,200. On occasion we may offer a show quality puppy to the right show home. Our puppies are well socialized from birth and raised in a nurturing home environment with our family. Legacy's puppies are sold as companion dogs with a Limited AKC Registration (spay and neuter contract), a veterinarian-examined and health certificate, microchipped, a copy of a 4-generation pedigree, and age-appropriate shots and deworming. Puppies are usually ready for their new homes around 9 -11 weeks of age. ** Exercise caution when encountering 'cheap puppies' online, as these are frequently scams. Puppy scammers often use pictures of puppies stolen from reputable breeders' websites. Typically, scammers demand full payment upfront for the puppy and shipping cost, then they vanish. To ensure a secure transaction, insist on a live video chat with the seller and the puppy. I have dealt with many people who have gotten scammed in this way and I do offer live video chats on request! 

Just remember a well-bred, health-tested basset puppy is not cheap!
